Julian Guthrie is a veteran journalist and has won numerous awards, including the Best of the West Award and Society of Professional Journalists’ Public Service Award. She spent 20 years at the San Francisco Chronicle and has also been published by The Wall Street JournalThe Huffington Post, and others. She is the author of several books including the bestselling The Billionaire and The Mechanic, selected by Forbes Magazine as a top-ten nonfiction book of 2014. Her new book, How to Make a SpaceshipA Band of Renegades, an Epic Race, and the Birth of Private Spaceflight,  follows Peter Diamandis, funder of the XPRIZE, as well as Richard Branson, Elon Musk and Erik Lindbergh (grandson of Charles) as they pursue the dream of doing what only the world’s three largest governments had done before: build and fly a manned rocket into space.
