Carolina de Robertis

Carolina De Robertis is the internationally bestselling author of the the novels The Gods of Tango, Perla, and The Invisible Mountain. Her books have been translated into seventeen languages. She is the recipient of a Stonewall Book Award, the Italian Rhegium Julii Prize, and a Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, among other honors. She is also an award-winning translator of Latin American literature, a professor of creative writing at San Francisco State University, and co-producer of the documentary "Farías: an Afro Uruguayan Love Story." She lives in Oakland, California, with her wife and two children.
