Nicole Gluckstern

The daughter of a bookseller and an editor, Nicole Gluckstern learned to read and write long before she learned to tie her shoes. Actually she still doesn’t know how to tie her shoes. She’s lived, worked, and traveled in over thirty countries on five continents, but has called San Francisco home since 1999. She’s the co-creator of the “Bikes to Books” bicycle tour and map, which connects the twelve streets renamed in 1988 for famous authors and artists who lived in San Francisco. She splits her reading attentions fairly equally between fiction and non-, with a special affinity for essay collections, memoir, travel writing, cultural studies, graphic novels, and literary fiction.
